CrazyPoly — Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

CrazyPoly is made and operated by Dmytro Korchynskyi, an individual based in Ukraine, trading as NeatHippo. Postal address: Yaroslava Mudroho 81, Letychiv, 31500, Ukraine.

“NeatHippo” is the name the game is published under; the person responsible for it, and for your data, is the individual named above.

For everything in this policy, that individual is the controller of your personal data.

2. The short version

This version of CrazyPoly does not collect anything about you.

There is no account to create, no server of ours for the game to talk to, and nothing about your play that reaches us. Everything the game remembers is a file on your own device.

• No advertisements, and no advertising, attribution or analytics SDKs of any kind. We do not profile you and we have nothing to sell about you.
• No account, no sign-in, no e-mail address.
• No chat. Players at a table share nothing but the game itself and a fixed set of emoji reactions, which travel as a number rather than as text.
• Anything you buy is sold by Google Play, and Google handles the payment. We never see your card number, bank details or billing address, and no record of the purchase reaches us.
• We do not sell personal data, and we never have.

The one time anything of yours could reach us is if you decide to send us a log file with a bug report — see §5.

3. What stays on your device

The game keeps its own files in its private storage on your device: your settings and preferences, your unfinished game, your statistics, and a technical log of what the game did. None of it is sent to us.

On the first start after updating from an earlier version of CrazyPoly, the game also reads what that version stored on your device, so that your language, player name, colour and win counters carry over. It is read only — never changed, never deleted — and nothing from it is sent anywhere.

Uninstalling the app removes all of it.

4. Playing over local Wi-Fi

Multiplayer in this version happens between the devices on your own network — a home router, a phone hotspot — and does not pass through any server of ours. We do not see that a game happened, who played, or how it went.

Your device announces the game on the local network so that other devices can find it, and exchanges your player name, avatar and colour directly with them. Anyone else on that network can see the announcement and the local IP address it came from. That is inherent to playing over a shared network, and it is the same information any device on a network can see about any other.

Pick a player name you are content for the people on that network to see.

5. The log you choose to send

The game can export its own log file — on Android through the share sheet, on desktop by copying it to your Downloads folder. Nothing is transmitted by that action; it just puts the file where you can reach it.

If you then send us that file with a bug report, we read it to work out what went wrong and delete it once the matter is closed. The log holds technical events and may hold your player name. We rely on your having asked us for help — you choose to send it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

6. Google Play

If you installed the game from Google Play, Google knows that, and Google’s own privacy policy covers what it does with that. We receive no personal data from Google.

Buying something. The West theme and the donation are sold by Google through Google Play, not by us directly, and Google takes the payment. We never see your card number, bank details or billing address — and because this version has no server, no record of the purchase reaches us either. What the game does with Google’s answer happens entirely on your device: the theme is unlocked in the game’s own settings, and a donation leaves nothing behind but the thank-you beside the button.

Getting a purchase back. The game asks Google whether you own the West theme — because you bought it here, or in an earlier version of CrazyPoly, which sold it as the same product — so it can unlock it again. The answer tells the game which theme to unlock, and nothing about it is sent to us or kept anywhere but your device.

7. Who else touches your data

Nobody. This version of the game has no server, no hosting provider holding player data, no e-mail provider, and no third-party SDK collecting anything.

8. Children and families

CrazyPoly is a board game that children play, and this version is about as safe as software gets for them:

• No data is collected at all — there is nothing to consent to, and nothing that could be profiled.
• No advertising, in any form.
• No account, so nothing can be created in a child’s name.
• No free-text chat. Nobody can send a child a written message through CrazyPoly. The only thing players send each other is an emoji reaction from a fixed set.

Because we collect nothing, the parental-consent requirements of the US Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Article 8 GDPR have nothing to attach to here.

There are two things in the game that cost real money: the West theme, and a donation. Both are sold and charged for by Google Play, never by the game itself, and a child should not be buying either without your say-so. Google Play’s own parental controls — purchase approval and requiring a password for every purchase — are how you keep that in your hands, and we recommend turning them on. Refunds are Google’s to give.

9. Your rights

Wherever you live, you have the right to know what a company holds about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to how it is used, and to get a copy of it.

In this version there is nothing for those rights to reach: we hold nothing about you, so there is nothing to disclose, correct, export or delete. The exception is a log file you sent us with a bug report, which you can ask us to delete at any time.

If you are in the EEA or the UK you may complain to your local data protection authority. In Ukraine, the supervisory authority is the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman).

10. Security

The best security is not holding anything, which is the position this version is in. What lives on your device is protected by your device: the game’s files are in its own private storage, which other apps cannot read.

11. Changes to this policy

A later version of CrazyPoly will add play over the internet, and that needs things this version does not have: an account, a server, and data held on it. None of that is switched on quietly. When it arrives, this policy will be replaced by one that describes it, the effective date at the top will change, and the game will ask you to look at the new policy before you use anything that needs it.
