CrazyPoly — Terms and Conditions

1. The agreement

These Terms are an agreement between you and Dmytro Korchynskyi, an individual based in Ukraine, trading as NeatHippo (“we”, “us”, “our”), of Yaroslava Mudroho 81, Letychiv, 31500, Ukraine. By installing or playing CrazyPoly (the “Game”) you accept them.

“NeatHippo” is the name the Game is published under, not a separate company; the individual named above is the party you are contracting with.

Our Privacy Policy — published alongside these Terms, and reachable from the Game — explains what we do with your data, and forms part of this agreement. The short answer is that this version collects nothing.

If you do not accept these Terms, do not play the Game.

2. Children and parents

CrazyPoly is suitable for all ages. This version has no account and no chat, so there is little here that needs a grown-up’s permission — with one exception.

Two things in the Game cost real money: the West theme, and a donation (see §4). If you are under 18, do not buy either without asking a parent or guardian first. Google Play’s parental controls — purchase approval, and requiring a password for every purchase — are how a parent keeps that decision theirs, and we recommend turning them on.

If you are under 18, a parent or guardian should read these Terms and agree to them on your behalf. By allowing a child to play, a parent or guardian is agreeing to them, and is responsible for any purchase made from their device or Google account.

3. Your licence to play

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and play the Game for your own private entertainment. That is all it is: the Game is licensed, not sold, and everything in it stays ours or our licensors’.

You may not:

• copy, distribute, sell, rent, or sublicense the Game or anything in it;
• reverse-engineer, decompile or modify it, except so far as the law expressly says you may despite this clause;
• use cheats, mods, bots, automation, memory editors or modified clients;
• exploit a bug for advantage instead of reporting it;
• use the Game for anything unlawful.

4. Themes, donations and purchases

There are two things in the Game that cost real money — the West theme, and a donation — and both are sold by Google through Google Play, not by us directly. Google is the seller of record and takes the payment; we never see your payment details. Your purchase is also subject to Google Play’s own terms. There are no coins in this version, and nothing else in the Game is for sale.

The West theme is a one-time purchase that unlocks the theme for you. Like the rest of the Game it is licensed, not sold: it has no value outside CrazyPoly, and cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred to anybody else, or redeemed for anything. Buying it once is enough — the Game asks Google whether you already own it, including from an earlier version of CrazyPoly, which sold it as the same product, and unlocks it again rather than charging you twice. If you own it and the Game has not unlocked it, “Restore Purchases” asks Google again.

A donation buys nothing. It unlocks no content and grants no advantage; all it leaves behind is our thanks. It is a way to support the Game, and you should treat the money as gone once it is given. You can give more than once.

Refunds for anything bought through Google Play are handled by Google under its refund policy, and that is where to ask first. If Google cannot help and you paid for something the Game never gave you, write to us and we will look at it.

Nothing here takes away rights you have under mandatory consumer law. EU, EEA and Ukrainian consumers: you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase of digital content. By buying an item that unlocks immediately, you ask for that immediate delivery and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once delivery has begun.

5. Playing with other people

Multiplayer in this version runs between the devices on your own network. There is no server of ours involved, no matchmaking, and no way to reach a stranger — everybody at the table is somebody who is already on your Wi-Fi.

Be decent. No cheating, no deliberately spoiling other people’s games, and no using the emoji reactions to needle somebody. We cannot police a game we never see; the people at that table can.

Your network is yours. What happens on a network you share with other people is up to the people on it. Pick a player name you are content for them to see.

6. Ownership, and what CrazyPoly is not

The Game, its code, artwork, board, sounds, characters and the CrazyPoly name are owned by us or by our licensors, and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

CrazyPoly is an original business dice game. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Hasbro, Inc., its subsidiaries, or the owners of the MONOPOLY® trademark or any other board game. Any trademarks belonging to somebody else are their property, mentioned only to describe what is theirs.

The Game is built on the Godot Engine and includes other open-source components, each under its own licence. Those licences are reproduced in the Game, on the Licenses screen.

Bug reports, ideas and suggestions you send us are gratefully received, and we may use them without owing you anything for them.

7. Changes to the Game

We may update, change, add to or remove features of the Game, including rules, themes and the balance of play.

A later version will add play over the internet, which needs an account and a server. That version comes with its own Terms and its own Privacy Policy, and you will be asked to look at them before you use anything that needs them. Nothing in these Terms signs you up for it in advance.

8. Disclaimers

The Game is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that saved games, statistics or unlocked themes can never be lost.

If you are a consumer, this does not limit the rights mandatory consumer law gives you — including, in the EU and Ukraine, your right to digital content that conforms to the contract.

9. Our liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost data, or loss of in-game items arising from your use of the Game, and our total liability to you for any claim connected with the Game is limited to the greater of the amount you have paid for it and EUR 50.

We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, for our intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or for anything else the law does not permit us to exclude. If you are a consumer, your mandatory statutory rights are unaffected.

10. Ending the agreement

You may end this agreement at any time by uninstalling the Game. Sections that by their nature should survive — ownership, disclaimers, liability, governing law — survive the end of it.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the law of Ukraine, and the courts of Ukraine have jurisdiction.

If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in, and you may bring proceedings in your own local courts. Consumers in the EU may also use the European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform.

12. The rest

• If any part of these Terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
• Not enforcing something once does not mean we give up the right to enforce it later.
• You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer ours if the Game changes hands, without reducing your rights.
• These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between us about the Game.
• We may update these Terms. The effective date at the top changes, and where a change matters we will ask you to look at them again in the Game before you carry on playing.
